The happiest time of the week is when I'm having dinner and chatting with Ella.
A giggle came from her lips and then the waitress took our orders, but as soon as she left, she started her heavy questioning. “So, tell me, you saw Charles during the weekend?”
I sighed, and she frowned. This was not going to be easy, but I needed to tell her, so I started detailing what happened with Charles, to which she grinned with satisfaction, but when I told her what I had discovered about Max, she was furious. Angrier than me even.
“That motherfucker! I can’t believe he was able to go that far! He doesn't deserve you Abi! And you better not sign that contract, he is trying to ruin you!” She was mad, and the poor waitress did not know how to react, almost walking away with our food.
I signaled for the server to come over and Ella kept serious and quiet while our meal was placed in front of us. I thanked the waitress, and she quickly moved away, fearing Ella’s simmering rage.
