Allen's POV
After finishing the last stack of documents for the day, I sat at my desk, watching the heavy rain pour down outside. My mind was racing. The conversation I had with Dennis that night hadn't gone as planned.
I had tried several times to get him to reconsider, but now he seemed more determined than ever to go through with this plan.
No matter how much he denied it, I knew he cared about Gianna. I just needed a way to make him realize it.I had to do something.
"Allen!" My cousin's voice rang out alongside a knock on my front door, pulling me out of my thoughts. I quickly opened the door.
She looked upset. Before I could ask what was wrong, she pushed past me and stormed into my room.
"What's going on?" I asked, my senses immediately on high alert. "Did something happen?"
Her expression was a mix of sadness and anger. I knew she had been to see Gianna, and I had a bad feeling about this.
"How's Gianna?" I pressed.
