SEVEN GATES OF HELL

ORIGIN: Pennsylvania.

The urban legend of The Seven Gates of Hell is one of the most infamous and terrifying tales to come out of York County, Pennsylvania.

It is said that hidden deep in the woods near the small town of Hellam, there are seven mysterious gates that, when passed through in a very specific order, will open up a portal straight to Hell itself.

The origins of this legend vary.

One version claims that an insane asylum once stood in the woods.

And after a fire broke out, many violent and deranged patients escaped into the forest.

Those who were not burned alive were hunted down and killed.

The gates were then created and erected afterward to trap their tortured souls.

Another version ssys that the gates were built by a mad doctor who owned the land and was conducting dark rituals and experiments which led to the creation of the portal.

Local lore says that while the first gate is visible during the day, the remaining six only appear at night.

Those who pass through all seven are said to vanish, consumed by the fires of Hell.

Though no one has proven the existence of the gates, brave souls still venture into the woods, hoping to find the truth behind this legend.
