CAT SCRATCH GAME

The Cat Scratch Game is a ritualistic game said to be used to summon a vengeful spirit in the form of an invisible cat which leaves physical scratches on a person's back.

The game requires only two people, if there are more people present, two will play while the others may watch. 

One person has to lay down on their back, resting their head in the lap of the other person. 

Then the person sitting up will begin to gently rub the other's temples in a soothing motion, while reciting any creepy story about a cat. 

There are different versions of this legend, but a common version involves a cat that was killed in a violent accident or a black cat that stalks its victims before attacking them. 

As the creepy cat story is being told, the person being rubbed must visualize the whole story.

After the story ends, the person must quickly sits up. 

Then the group will lift their shirt or checks their back. 

According to legend, mysterious red claw marks, resembling a cat's scratch, will appear on the skin, despite no physical contact at those places during the game.

The origin of the game is unclear, but it taps into the fear of the unseen.
