The urban legend of The Choking Doberman is a tale that goes into fears about safety within our own homes.
It begins with a woman returning home from work to find her beloved Doberman (a breed of Dog) sitting on the floor, choking and gagging violently like he was about to die.
Panicked, she rushes the dog to the veterinarian and once she arrives, she leaves the Doberman in the vet's care while he sedates the animal to examine its throat.
The woman returns home, relieved that her pet didn't die as she feared and would be feeling better soon.
However, shortly after, she receives a phone call from the vet.
The trained doctor's voice is almost trembling while he tells her to leave the house immediately and call the police.
Confused and worried, she asks why, but the vet just insists she should get out of the house at once.
Fortunately, she does as he instructs and moments later, the police arrive and search the house.
They then find an intruder in an armed outfit hiding in one of the rooms, barely conscious and bleeding heavily.
Later Vet informs the woman that The Doberman had been choking because it had bitten off several of the dangerous criminal intruder's fingers during his attempted break-in.
