ORIGIN: Dutch
In the late 1940s, the ship was sailing in the Strait of Malacca when it sent out a distress signal.
The message was intercepted by nearby vessels and read:
"All officers including captain are dead, lying in chartroom and bridge. Possibly whole crew dead... I die."
After this final cryptic message there was radio silence.
When a rescue ship arrived to investigate the matter, they found the Ourang Medan adrift, completely intact, BUT…
Every crew member was dead, their bodies looked frozen with fear written on their faces, wide eyes and twisted limbs.
It was as if they had died screaming.
No single visible wounds were found, and the ship itself showed no signs of struggle, violation, piracy or external damage.
However, before further investigation could be conducted, the ship exploded and sank into the depths of the ocean, leaving the mystery unsolved.
Theories about the SS Ourang Medan have ranged from chemical leaks to supernatural forces, but to this day, no concrete evidence confirms whether the ship even ever truly existed.
