NINGEN – THE ANTARCTIC HUMANOID

The Ningen is a mysterious cryptid that is said to live in the cold waters of the Antarctic Ocean. 

It was first reported by Japanese sailors and whalers in the early 2000s.

The Ningen (meaning "human" in Japanese) is a massive, pale-white humanoid creature, reaching lengths of 20 to 30 meters (65 to 100 feet). 

It has smooth, featureless skin with very long limbs, and a wide, gaping, expressionless mouth which makes it a terrifying sight while on the icy backdrop of the Antarctic.

According to reports, the Ningen has human-like facial features but lacks a nose, and its eyes are dark and emotionless. 

Some versions of the legend say it possesses fins or a mermaid-like tail which allows it to glide without much effort through the freezing waters. 

Other versions say it has legs and arms so it can walk on land.

Eyewitness accounts so far are rare and few, but those who claim to have seen the Ningen describe their experience like this:

—-- A slow-moving giant coming out from the depths of the water, watching them silently before vanishing back into the darkness of the deep water.

Some believe it is an undiscovered deep-sea creature, while conspiracy theorists say that the Japanese government and research stations must have covered up its existence.

The Ningen remains one of what the vast, uncharted Antarctic really is— a place where anything can be hiding.
