CHAPTER 192: MUTANTS OF CHERNOBYL

ORIGIN: Pripyat, Ukraine.

This is a legend that came after the catastrophic Chernobyl nuclear disaster of April 26, 1986.

The explosion at Reactor No. 4 of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Pripyat, Ukraine, released massive amounts of radiation, leading to mass evacuations of homes and houses, and also…

… A permanently contaminated Exclusion Zone.

The real-life effects of radiation exposure are well documented— cancer, birth defects, and environmental devastation.

But urban legends tell of something far more terrifying: mutated creatures and humanoid beings living in the ruins.

One of the most infamous stories is one of hairless, glowing human like creatures with elongated limbs, black, soulless eyes, and overly twisted bodies, which roam the abandoned streets of Pripyat at night.

If is said that they are the spirits of those who died and mutated into something no longer human.

Other reports speak of giant wolves, deformed fish, and monstrous insects that have grown several times their normal size due to prolonged radiation exposure.

Perhaps the most terrifying legend is that of the Black Stalker, a shadow like human looking creature with radioactive red eyes that now haunts the ruins, attacking those who go too deep into Chernobyl's restricted areas.
