This casual relinquishing of the throne left Hela stunned. She had been ready to fight, but Thor's nonchalance about giving up the throne dissolved her battle-ready mindset.
When she had asked Loki about Thor's character, Loki had described the God of Thunder as someone who solved problems by swinging his hammer, acting impulsively without considering the consequences.
However, after this battle, if Thor declared his intent to take the throne, no one in Asgard would oppose him. Everyone had witnessed his sacrifices for the realm.
Yet he chose to forgo this golden opportunity, opting instead to travel the universe and train himself further.
Hela was momentarily at a loss for words. If Thor had stubbornly insisted on claiming the throne, her combative nature would have led to a clash with him.
But now, not only was Thor refusing the throne, but he also intended to leave Asgard. Hela turned her gaze to Han Yu, seemingly seeking his opinion.
Han Yu, too, was surprised by this outcome. He had planned to hand over Stormbreaker to Thor if the latter became king of Asgard. But since Thor had decided to embark on a journey of self-improvement, giving him such a powerful weapon didn't seem appropriate.
Mjolnir, while impressive, was still a relatively ordinary divine weapon compared to Stormbreaker. Moments ago, when Han Yu had wielded it to block the Sea God, even a casual swing had sent the Sea God crashing to the ground. The axe had gone on to sever the deity's supposedly impenetrable arm.
Han Yu thought to himself that if he infused Stormbreaker with Green Lantern energy and threw it again, its destructive power could easily split a planet like Earth in half. It wasn't an exaggeration!
Giving such a weapon to Thor for his journey would defeat the purpose of his training. It would be like a level-50 player wielding a level-100 weapon—he'd simply breeze through every challenge, gaining experience with no real effort.
Moreover, any opponent capable of countering Stormbreaker wouldn't be someone Thor could handle at his current strength.
A weapon's power relies on its wielder. If someone unworthy uses a weapon of such caliber, it would be a waste—like owning a legendary weapon but only managing basic attacks.
Han Yu turned to Hela and asked, "Hela, if you take the throne, will you still wage wars across the Nine Realms, enslaving others?"
Hela fixed her gaze on Thor's eyes, as if searching for signs of deceit. Was this abdication part of some scheme? But all she saw in his eyes was resolve. Finally, with a hint of resignation, she said,
"Sigh, what a bother. Fine, no more wars. I've fought enough battles; it's time for me to rest."
Shaking her head, Hela admitted that her brother's carefree attitude about relinquishing the throne left her no choice. If she ascended to the throne only to resume her old ways of conquest, it would make her seem immature by comparison.
"However," she added, turning to Han Yu, "I'll make this clear: for those who have already submitted to Asgard and did not participate in this invasion, I'll spare them. But the Frost Giants, Fire Demons, and Vanir gods—I won't let them go."
"If it were me, I wouldn't spare them either," Han Yu replied calmly. "They attacked Asgard as a group, and they must face the consequences. Now that you're queen, it's your decision to make."
Han Yu had no objections. Since they invaded Asgard, they should be prepared for retaliation. He didn't intend to intervene—he would remain a bystander. If he were to get involved, there wouldn't even be a battle; the enemies would be annihilated outright.
"Alright, let's proceed for now," Hela said, turning toward the back. She called out, "Heimdall, hurry up and organize care for the injured. Stop sneaking peeks back there—I see you!"
Heimdall stood in a momentary daze. He glanced at Thor, who gave him a slight nod, prompting Heimdall to quickly organize the efforts.
Heimdall had no strong opinions about who sat on the throne. As the guardian of the Bifrost, his duty was clear, and even with Hela now occupying the throne, he held no objections.
As long as the ruler's actions were just and in Asgard's best interest, Heimdall would loyally serve the throne. It was his destiny.
Meanwhile, the remaining warriors of the three invading tribes still on Asgard's islands saw the arrival of several powerful reinforcements. Their last shred of resolve crumbled, and they surrendered without resistance, allowing Asgardian warriors to detain them.
At this point, struggling was futile. Cooperation might extend their lives, but resistance would only hasten their demise.
Han Yu had no interest in the aftermath. Asgard had provided him with a luxurious room, along with the best food and drink, to express their gratitude.
Han Yu was now a celebrated benefactor of Asgard. Without his intervention, Asgard would have long fallen into enemy hands.
Inside the room, Galacta was with him.
Han Yu was playing on his phone, while Galacta sat behind him, holding a fruit platter and watching intently with curiosity.
"Han, what are you playing? It looks so fun!" Galacta's eyes were glued to the screen, captivated by the small characters moving around and the flashy skills they unleashed.
"This? It's a tower defense game. The goal is to destroy the opponent's defense towers and crystal to win," Han Yu explained while playing.
He used several gaming terms that Galacta couldn't understand, but she found it fascinating nonetheless. The flashy characters, dazzling moves, and even the cute, whimsical designs struck a chord with her. She was completely engrossed.
Han Yu felt an intense gaze fixed on him from the side. Helplessly, he said, "Alright, alright, I'll let you play for a while. But don't touch the ranked matches; just stick to casual games."
"Yay!"
Galacta cheered happily and quickly grabbed Han Yu's phone, mimicking his actions as she started playing with great enthusiasm.
Just then, a knock came at the door. Han Yu called out in response, and the door opened, revealing Hela and Thor's brothers.
Hela had changed out of the celestial armor Han Yu had crafted for her. She now wore a golden light-armored suit with a red cape draped over her shoulders. The sinister black eye makeup that once accentuated her aura of malevolence had been removed.
Her face now bore a natural, rosy complexion, with a touch of light lipstick on her lips. The new attire added a regal air to her presence, while the absence of the dark makeup softened her appearance, replacing her former aura of danger with one of inner nobility and elegance.
As Odin's eldest daughter and a former executor, Hela's demeanor was naturally unmatched by ordinary people.
"Well, greetings, Your Majesty," Han Yu said, rising to his feet. He gave Hela a slight bow and spoke with a playful tone.
