Previously, when Han Yu visited the school where Charles worked, he overheard a biology lecture Charles was giving. Since Charles is also a scientist specializing in genetics, Han Yu was confident Charles would be the right person to help.
"I've found someone," Han Yu said, clapping his hands. He stepped outside and made a call. "Charles?"
"Yes, it's me, Han. What's the matter?"
Charles's voice came through the phone, with faint discussions audible in the background. It sounded like quite a crowd—was the mutant school back in session?
Han Yu brushed aside his curiosity and got straight to the point. "If I recall correctly, you have a doctorate in biology, right? Can you create an antidote serum?"
"With a sample to reference, I can manage," Charles replied after a pause. "Do you need an antidote serum?"
"Yes!"
Han Yu explained the current problem they were facing. As he spoke, the relaxed expression on Charles's face gradually turned serious. Occasionally, Charles interjected with questions about the Laughing Virus, which Han Yu answered one by one.
"I see. I'll book the earliest flight and should arrive tonight. Prepare these items for me…"
Without hesitation, Charles listed everything he would need. Han Yu noted it all down, and once Charles finished, he ended the call.
Han Yu didn't head out to gather the materials. Instead, he opened his phone, looked up the required items, and constructed them directly using Green Lantern energy.
Five high-precision instruments were among the equipment, along with numerous auxiliary tools.
Looking at the specialized scientific devices, Stark curiously asked, "Who did you call? Someone who actually needs all this equipment?"
Some of the instruments were familiar to Stark, but there were others he hadn't seen before. His curiosity was piqued about who Han Yu had contacted to warrant such advanced tools.
Han Yu chuckled. "His name is Charles Xavier. I've been meaning to introduce you two for a while. Today seems like the perfect opportunity."
Stark, realizing Han Yu wasn't going to elaborate further, didn't press him. When Han Yu made the call earlier, he hadn't lowered his voice, and in the quiet space, Stark had heard the conversation clearly.
Since Charles would be arriving soon, Stark wasn't in a hurry. He began familiarizing himself with the unfamiliar instruments. These were things someone else had requested, so he figured it wouldn't hurt to get a general understanding before being taught how to use them.
Watching Stark dive into his work, Han Yu didn't disturb him. Stark's intelligence was on a genius level—after all, in the memory of the Endgame, Stark had managed to create a time-travel device that stumped Banner and his team.
Han Yu walked to the containment area, where Hulk, seemingly inexhaustible, continued to roar and thrash. Han Yu murmured to himself, "Things are getting more complicated. It looks like I need to build up my influence on Earth faster. Running around asking for help all the time is too inefficient."
...
Late at night, Han Yu went out briefly. When he returned, Charles was with him.
Stepping into the makeshift laboratory, Charles was taken aback by the space. His curiosity about Han Yu only deepened.
Han Yu smiled. The ability to create such a personal domain was rare even among gods in the Marvel universe. Without using an artifact like the Space Stone, most gods couldn't achieve it.
Although Charles was surrounded by mutants, most of them were still within the realm of humanity. Accomplishing something like this was beyond them.
"Come, let me introduce you two," Han Yu said, leading Charles to Stark. Just as Han Yu was about to speak, Stark interrupted.
"I know you—Charles Xavier. You gave a lecture at MIT four years ago, didn't you? I happened to be there."
Hearing this, Charles was surprised. He hadn't expected Stark to know him from so long ago. "What a coincidence. I didn't notice you back then. It seems we were destined to meet here today."
The two exchanged a smile and shook hands.
Han Yu was surprised; this was news to him.
Since they already knew each other, Han Yu didn't waste any more time and led Charles to the Green Lantern containment area. "This is Hulk, who's infected with the Laughing Virus."
Charles let out an exclamation and began walking around the containment area, carefully observing Hulk.
After a moment, he turned to Han Yu and said, "I'd like to extract a sample of his blood."
"Sure."
Han Yu snapped his fingers, and the energy within the containment area condensed into a syringe, which extended toward Hulk.
Seeing the syringe coming towards him, Hulk roared angrily and tried to swat it away. However, in that instant, a massive hand made of the same energy materialized and slapped Hulk across the face, knocking him dazed.
Both Charles and Stark winced at the sight. That slap looked painful.
After the slap, Han Yu successfully extracted a vial of Hulk's blood, which was divided into three slender glass tubes. The tubes floated slowly toward Charles.
Both Charles and Stark were taken aback by the unique method of extraction, but they quickly realized this was just another display of Han Yu's powerful and mysterious abilities. He had always been strong and enigmatic.
Charles, holding the three blood vials, moved to the nearby instruments to begin his work. Stark also approached and asked if there was anything he could do to help.
Stark, being a genius himself, was familiar with how these instruments worked.
Charles, seeing that Stark was offering to assist, didn't view him as a distraction. Given Stark's reputation and character, anyone offering to help likely knew how to use these devices.
Knowing that Stark's expertise didn't align with the task at hand, Charles gave him a few assignments and briefly explained how to operate the instruments.
With this guidance, Stark became more comfortable, and the two quickly got to work.
"I'll be upstairs for a while. If you need anything, just call for me," Han Yu said.
Neither of them responded, but Han Yu wasn't bothered. Shrugging, he left the room—this space was too boring for him since he didn't understand the work being done.
He headed upstairs, planning to play a few games. As he reached the door, he heard Ganata's voice from inside.
"Hey, wait for me! Don't I need to grab the money?"
"How do you drive this thing? We pressed the forward button, and it's going backward!"
"Sis, that's the reverse button, S…"
A slightly exasperated voice from Ultron came through. Han Yu opened the door to find Ganata and the others playing GTA.
Ganata was excited, while Ultron and Quicksilver looked frustrated. Upon seeing Han Yu enter, the two immediately gestured for him to sit down.
Han Yu grinned and walked over. To his surprise, the death counter in the top-right corner showed seven deaths in one mission. If this had been any other player, they would've quit after dying just once or twice, let alone seven.
Now even Quicksilver had leveled up his skills. Though Ultron often teased him for being weak, compared to the average player, Quicksilver was definitely a skilled player.
After all, with Ultron as a teammate, if Quicksilver had remained bad, he would've been driven to quit the game long ago.
