She was determined to drive him insane and had already begun the process. Once again, she was running late and had to pick up her phone as soon as it rang. Zara was there to give him a bored look, just like she had done the day before; she was perplexed as to why he had behaved in such a manner for the past two days. Livvy Williams was the reason Noah was more agitated than he usually would have been.
Zara didn't understand what was wrong; she was disobeying and disrespecting him in his own company, but she wasn't the first. Under normal circumstances, he would have terminated her employment; however, at this moment, she had doubts about Noah's mental state. Zara uttered the words, "Noah, this has gone on for too long now; you need to get your shit together," which earned her a glance from Noah. However, Noah rolled her eyes in response to Zara's statement.
Just as Zara was about to say something, the door to the office opened, and 'Livvy Williams' strolled in, looking stunning. She wore a long black dress that reached her ankles and nude heels. Her clothing was all black. She had braided her dark hair into a stylish bun. She carried a white handbag and a white coat.
Every aspect of her appearance, from how she dressed, applied her make-up, and styled her hair, piqued Zara's interest. She preferred to have her hair in a tight bun, loose curls, or straight and loose. Olivia was meticulous about her hair. She preferred to have her hair in loose curls. Zara needed to acknowledge that April Williams's sister was well-groomed and had a sense of style. There was no reason to be surprised that Noah was also examining her before a thin line formed across his mouth. "You are late." Noah clenched his teeth.
After all the drama he had created, he would only tell Zara, "You are late." Zara arched an eyebrow at him.
"It is not easy to adapt to the time zones, you know?" Noah clenched his teeth in response to her calm and collected speech.
"Why are you late?" He posed a lethal question.
Olivia acted as if she were involved in a profound contemplation.
During this exchange, Zara remained silent and watched with her eyebrows furrowed.
"Let me see..." Olivia started by reflectively tapping her chin. "How do I explain this?" She let out a sigh. "I took a long, cold shower; it took me more than an hour to do my hair, and I spent a good half an hour to look this ravishing." She made the statement, and Zara observed Noah as he took a deep breath. Despite her narrowed eyes, she remained silent, mentally preparing to confront him. Zara needed to acknowledge that Livvy Williams had a lot of courage; she was doing an excellent job at annoying Noah, so Zara was beginning to admire her.
"I don't care if you had to go to the River Nile to bathe!" When Zara heard Noah's bark, she immediately retreated. When Livvy did not react, Noah's walls cracked, but he covered it up by continuing in a scary, cold voice, "This is my company, and you will do as I say." Livvy did not flinch. Everyone expects you to arrive at work on time.
Olivia slowly approached his desk, her heels clicking against the concrete floor. "Why are you mad?" As she leaned over his desk, she met his hostile look with a calm and collected question. "Do you remember that we have a deal? You will desire April Williams' resignation later, and I will provide it for you with ease. Now, Baby Doll, relax. She made fun of him, and Noah's expression became ten times more stern due to the nickname.
His face was slightly reddened, and his eyes were somewhat darker than usual. He exuded a sense of impending eruption. Zara eagerly anticipated his eruption but was surprised when more than 10 seconds had passed, and Noah had yet to utter a single word.
Even though neither was blinking, Noah and Olivia could pin each other down with penetrating gazes. How much longer are they going to insist on doing this? Zara has a question. She gave a slight shake of her head and cleared her throat, which caused both heads to rapidly turn in her way, with their eyes focusing intently on her. She would have most likely died by now if outward appearances could kill.
She gestured towards the phone, rolling her eyes. "Your phone is ringing." Her tone was biting.
Noah returned his phone to its holder without answering the call. He did this while paying attention to Zara during the conversation. In absolute disbelief, Zara let out a gasp. What would have gotten into him? She was utterly bewildered.
Noah yelled to Livvy threateningly, "Get to work," before rushing out of the office rapidly. Just before he stormed out of his office, Noah made some remarks to Livvy, leaving behind Zara, who was stunned, and Olivia, who was calmly outraged. He had no right to give her instructions; what the heck was he thinking?
At last, Zara regained her calm and turned her attention to Livvy, who was drilling holes in the door. Zara approached her and stood before her, the tiniest smile pulling at the corner of her lips as she did so. "Well, that was interesting." She smirked, capturing Olivia's attention for a moment. "Hi, I'm Zara, Noah's secretary, and you must be Livvy, April Williams's sister." Even though Zara welcomed her with a friendly grin, Olivia overlooked her greeting since she repeatedly rehashed her remarks in her thoughts.
This is Noah's secretary. Why would she call him by his first name rather than by his title, Mr. Jones?
Zara did not seem bothered or aware of what Olivia was saying, she smiled at him. "Livvy Williams, it is a pleasure to meet you," Olivia added with one of her tight smiles. Aside from herself, Zara was not accustomed to anybody else driving Noah mad, but she was aware of the extremes she could push herself to. On the other hand, this incredible woman had no boundaries and could push Noah further and further away without him needing to exert any effort.
"I am the sole object of my pleasure. I'd better get back to work soon; you should too. Zara spoke the words in a hushed tone as she used her eyes to move quickly across the office floor. Olivia followed her eyes, and her body stiffened as she saw files scattered all over the floor, which she had not seen before. Olivia had not seen any of these files before. As she clenched her teeth, Olivia saw that this appeared to be a replica of the mess Noah had made the day before; the cretin had not even bothered to get someone to clean it up. "I will leave you to do your work. Goodbye!" Zara hastily uttered the words and promptly departed from the office.
Olivia did not give herself time to think about Zara's peculiar behavior. She was upset, and when she became angry, she tended to act in an unreasonable manner. She would work if Noah wanted her to; he was her employer. However, there was a minor issue as she wasn't officially employed by Noah. She was going to work.
April Williams, on the other hand, loomed over each of her shoulders like a fog. If Olivia was mistaken about her work status, she might as well begin planning for David's burial because her brother would be impacted by her secret.
