Bai Yushu looked back at the kitchen, then nodded.
"Indeed, it's a bit different from before, but I think this is a good thing," Bai Yushu said. Seeing her son change was something that made her, as a mother, very happy.
Especially since Tang Rao was changing in a good direction.
At least, he wasn't as clueless as before.
"Little brat, you even dare to talk back to me now, not even scared when you see me. If it were before, just one glare from me would have made you cower," Tang Renwang huffed.
"Swearing at my son, you old fart, don't even think about getting into bed tonight."
"Honey..."
"I'm getting goosebumps, scram, scram, scram!"
...
In the kitchen, Tang Rao had already poured out the prepared Old Ginseng.
According to the normal alchemy process, now would be the time to put these materials into the Pill Furnace. Then, using Spiritual Energy to completely grind, merge, sublimate, and finally solidify into a pill.
But Tang Rao didn't have a Pill Furnace at hand, and even if he did, it would be useless—he only had two breaths worth of Spiritual Energy in his Dantian, barely enough for anything.
"Forget it, special circumstances call for special measures," Tang Rao said as he casually grabbed a rolling pin and started pounding the Old Ginseng in the bowl.
About twenty minutes later, the Old Ginseng was thoroughly mashed by Tang Rao, turned into a sticky mess.
"I'm actually a Spiritual Pharmacist!" Tang Rao howled in sorrow; he had never crafted pills in such a crude manner before, it was so rough that he couldn't stand to look at it himself.
"Whatever, this will have to do," Tang Rao gave up on any image of being a Spiritual Pharmacist and scooped the lumpy black paste into his hands.
Then, Tang Rao exerted his energy.
The scant Spiritual Energy released from his palms quickly refined the lump of paste in his hands before directly solidifying it into a pill.
Even so, the two breaths of Spiritual Energy in Tang Rao's Dantian were nearly half depleted.
But fortunately, the Old Ginseng Pill had taken shape.
"It's so damn ugly!" Looking at the oval-shaped Dan Pills in his hands, Tang Rao was internally shattered.
He had never before created such an unseemly Spiritual Medicine.
Rough and full of holes, it looked more like dirt clumps turned into pills that might be found on a beggar's body rather than a refined medicine.
"Mei Fanghua, I, Tang Rao, will definitely come back for my vengeance," Tang Rao said, nearly in tears as he swallowed the Old Ginseng Pill.
For a Spiritual Pharmacist devoted to perfection, this was an immense disgrace.
Activating a Qi gathering technique, Tang Rao absorbed the Spiritual Energy released by the Old Ginseng Pill with the frenzy of a madman.
This was the power of hatred, the force of humiliation.
In just a minute or two, Tang Rao had absorbed all the Spiritual Energy released by the Old Ginseng Pill.
Inside the Dantian, nine breaths of energy condensed.
This did offer Tang Rao some consolation; the process was agonizing but the result was okay.
If he had simply made soup from the two pieces of Old Ginseng, at best it would have increased his energy by three breaths.
"Mrs. Chen!" Tang Rao opened the kitchen door and shouted.
"Young Master." In less than ten seconds, Mrs. Chen had already appeared before Tang Rao.
"That, please clean the kitchen for me, I've made it a bit dirty," Tang Rao said with a grin.
"Of course, Young Master," Mrs. Chen replied with a smile. She had watched Tang Rao grow up; she didn't know what Tang Rao was like outside, but at home, he was always polite to her, never rude or bossy.
"By the way, Mrs. Chen, I remember you used to have a Medicine Furnace, is that right?" Tang Rao asked, recalling the memory from the original Tang Rao.
"You still remember, Young Master. When you were little and fell ill, it was with that Medicine Furnace I boiled medicine for you," Mrs. Chen said with a smile.
```
"Is it still there now?"
"Yeah, it's under my bed in my room."
"Hand it over to me," Tang Rao chuckled.
"No big deal, I'll take it out and clean it for you later, then put it out to sun."
"Alright, thanks Mrs. Chen." Tang Rao waved his hand and ran off.
He planned to train this body a bit—it really was... too weak.
He had no idea how the previous Tang Rao managed to get a room with a woman—with his lack of strength, if he came across a strong one, he probably wouldn't even be able to lift her legs.
...
In front of the villa, Lei Li was sitting on a stone bench, staring blankly at the sky, with a somewhat vacant expression.
Her mind was still full of that claw strike from Tang Rao.
Fierce, powerful, resolute, exploding with killing intent.
If she could learn that move, her strength would definitely increase.
But, to be touched by Tang Rao...
Lei Li couldn't bear it; how could she allow such scum to touch her.
"Actually... it's just a touch, I won't lose a piece of flesh or anything," Lei Li muttered to herself softly. She really wanted to learn that move from Tang Rao, it was so cool, so sharp.
"So annoying..." The more Lei Li thought about it, the more conflicted she became, swaying indecisively.
Finally, her hands propped up on the stone table, she grabbed her hair, seemingly furious.
"Ali, what're you thinking about!" Tang Rao suddenly yelled from two meters away, startling Lei Li who was pulling at her hair.
Lei Li sprang up from the stone bench immediately, Tang Rao's shout had really scared her.
"Are you crazy!" Lei Li couldn't help but curse out; hasn't he heard that scaring someone can scare them to death?
"You're the crazy one, sitting there pulling out your hair, I almost thought you went mad," Tang Rao snorted with an air of arrogance.
"If I've gone mad, I'd beat you to death first," Lei Li gritted her teeth in anger. This bastard; why is he so incredibly annoying?
Tang Rao rolled his eyes at Lei Li; whether you've gone mad or not, you can't beat me.
Now that I have nine breaths in my Dantian, I can beat you into submission in minutes without worrying about the drain.
"Alright, let's not talk about such nonsense. How have you thought about the matter I asked you to consider?" Tang Rao pulled over a stone stool and sat with his legs crossed, swinging them back and forth.
"Impossible!" Lei Li shouted subconsciously, obviously knowing what Tang Rao was referring to.
"Fine then, you'll miss the boat if you don't seize the village," Tang Rao shrugged his shoulders, "Think about it, a touch won't make you lose any flesh. I'm offering you this deal because I see you as a friend."
"Could you be any more shameless!" Lei Li's inner rage surged again.
"Since you don't agree, then forget it. Oh, pity that my Dragon King Claw can't be passed on," Tang Rao sighed, then got ready to leave.
Seeing Tang Rao about to leave, Lei Li clenched her teeth hard.
She really didn't want to miss out on Tang Rao's move; it was too powerful. She had never seen such a dominating technique before, and if she couldn't learn it, she might regret it for life.
"Wait!" Lei Li suddenly shouted, using all her strength.
Tang Rao turned around with a smiling face.
"I... I... Teach me first!" Lei Li said with clenched lips.
"Nope, you have to pay first to gain something," Tang Rao shook his head.
What a joke, if after learning it you refuse to acknowledge it, who would I complain to? I can't just go and touch you by force; I am a decent person, a tall, rich, and handsome man who respects women's wishes.
"Then... just do it, quickly." Lei Li gripped her hands tightly, with a look of sad resentment.
