The sun was setting, and a cool breeze was gently blowing. After spending half a day indoors, Yang Fan, supported by Gu Qingcheng, went to a nearby park.
Everywhere they went, people pointed and whispered about the two. Their speculation focused on two points: Gu Qingcheng was an exceptionally beautiful woman, a real feast for the eyes to see someone like her here; they felt lucky to see such a rare beauty. However, seeing her helping a sickly young man bothered many—they felt a good cabbage was being hogged by a pig, and worse, a sick pig at that.
Yang Fan didn't mind these looks, and the usually idiosyncratic Gu Qingcheng cared even less.
The park near their home was always open, unlike the ordinary parks in the downtown area filled with a cluttered flow of people. This was a park in a high-end residential area, much quieter and more elegant.
