Mountain Eagle's exceptional situational awareness allowed him to move effortlessly without having to worry about his rear. His pace was slow, yet every action flowed seamlessly.
When he approached the eastern staircase, he discovered the body of a Myanmar person lying on the ground.
The narrow staircase was blocked by a sofa at the corner, behind which a terrified security guard was hunkered down, gun aimed tightly at the stairway entrance on the first floor.
Mountain Eagle did not wish to kill needlessly. He pressed against the corridor wall and pulled out his Police C badge, poking his head into the hallway and shouted loudly, "Don't shoot, I am Police C..."
To his surprise, the security guard on the first and a half floor did not heed his words and fired two shots at him.
The bullets struck the corner of the wall, sending fragments flying, causing Mountain Eagle to grunt.
