Chapter 9 Tie the Shoelaces!

Li Chen came out of the office just in time to see Ye Chuxue sneakily looking around.

Seeing this scene, a sly smile flashed across Li Chen's bright eyes, and he quietly approached Ye Chuxue from behind, lightly patting her shoulder.

"Hello!"

Startled by Li Chen's tap, Ye Chuxue quickly patted her chest, still in shock, and exclaimed, "Oh my, Li Chen, what are you doing? You scared me to death!"

Li Chen smiled slightly and asked, "Chuxue, what are you doing here?"

Ye Chuxue widened her eyes and pouted, retorting, "Hmph, did you think I came to check if you were dead?"

Li Chen chuckled and teased, "Why, worried that if I died, you'd become a widow?"

"Get lost, Li Chen you jerk, go as far away as the sun!"

Ye Chuxue was grinding her teeth in anger, with a fierce expression as if she wanted to devour Li Chen alive.

"Hmph, I'm not talking to you anymore!"

With that, she turned around huffily to leave.

Li Chen called out from behind, "Chuxue!"

Ye Chuxue stopped but didn't turn around, responding, "What is it?"

Instead of answering, Li Chen walked in front of Ye Chuxue and crouched down.

"Your shoelace is untied, you might trip!"

After saying that, he flashed a sunny smile at Ye Chuxue and earnestly began to tie her shoelaces.

Watching Li Chen seriously tying her shoelaces, a warm current suddenly surged in Ye Chuxue's heart.

She felt that ever since she hit Li Chen with her car, he seemed like a changed person.

The old Li Chen was taciturn, hardly saying a word. He was generally indifferent towards her, let alone taking the initiative to tie her shoelaces.

Had she been too willful over these years, constantly bullying him?

"All done!"

Li Chen dusted off his hands and flashed a sunny smile at Ye Chuxue.

Ye Chuxue looked down and saw that Li Chen had tied her shoelaces into a butterfly knot, and it looked incredibly lifelike.

"Don't fall for me, for I am but a legend!" Li Chen chuckled and then stood with his hands in his pockets, smiling at Ye Chuxue.

Seeing Li Chen's self-admiration, Ye Chuxue immediately rolled her eyes and disdainfully said, "Tch, narcissist, as if anyone would fall for you!"
