After the driver stopped the car near the Corporation, Hoshino Mika brought Chen Cheng to a ramen restaurant named "Ichiraku Ramen."
The storefront was small, but emitted a warm yellow glow. A wooden sign hung above the entrance, with a string of wind chimes hanging below that tinkled crisply with the opening and closing of the sliding door.
Chen Cheng and Hoshino Mika walked into the store side by side, greeted by the rich aroma of pork bone broth mixed with a faint scent of soy sauce, stirring up their appetites.
The interior of the restaurant was simply decorated, with neatly arranged wooden tables and chairs and traditional Japanese ukiyo-e prints and calligraphy artworks hanging on the walls.
Several diners were engrossed in their ramen, occasionally making satisfied slurping sounds.
"Two guests, please this way."
A proprietress in a clean apron enthusiastically greeted them and led them to a table by the window.
