''It's true, My Lady,'' Rosie said once the fourth prince left, ''Yesterday, I told you that it was the fourth prince being unruly when you were woken up by the noises.''
''It really is him,'' Lareina looked at the chair where Azrael had been sitting, ''It was not an empty threat when he told me he would kill them all,'' Warm tears trickled down her eyes.
''My Lady, His Highness couldn't have…''
''A guard doesn't have the privilege to command a prince.''
Lareina's words were concise but Rosie understood what he was referring to.
Without Azrael's orders, his guard would not approach the fourth prince, let alone drive him away. It seemed like a deliberate attempt to prevent Lareina from causing any trouble when her clansmen were alive. Only after they were dead was she called up to witness their humiliation.
When Lareina walked back to her bedchamber, she spotted a familiar figure waiting outside.
