Seraphina looked troubled.

She avoided answering my question and tried to dismiss me:

"Garrison, let's postpone meeting your uncle for another time. Your family's curiosity about celebrities can be satisfied any day."

"But today, we're going to celebrate an important figure's birthday. This is crucial for me!"

So in her eyes, the meeting I valued so much was just my whole family trying to leech off her celebrity status.

Jaxon stood by, looking smug.

He wrapped his arm around Seraphina's waist, striking a victorious pose as he said to me, "Stop pestering her."

"I'm the only one who can give Seraphina what she wants. You're just causing her trouble now.

If you know what's good for you, you'll keep your distance and stop bothering us."

He deliberately emphasized the word "us", as if flaunting Seraphina's earlier choice.

Even the onlooking crew members were pointing and whispering about me.
