Diana wept miserably. "I apologize. I'll depart at once. I won't interfere anymore."


I glared at her with contempt. "Stand wherever you please. Apart from this mindless puppy, Robert, do you honestly believe anyone cares about your existence?"


"Your Delaney Family is nothing but a has-been. Boasting about being a 'violinist' won't elevate your status. You should hurry and secure a wealthy husband before news of your affair with Robert spreads. Otherwise, you can kiss your chances of marrying into money goodbye."
