"Alright, since you're so enthusiastic, I suppose I'll grudgingly make the journey back!"

To be honest, I was curious to see what kind of impact his lover had made during my year-long absence.

After William's departure, I slapped my hands on my legs and addressed the eight brothers surrounding me.

"Okay, finish up your work and gather here in the courtyard tomorrow at dawn! We're heading back to the Walter Family in grand fashion, and I expect you all to do your sister proud!"

The eight of them stood at attention as one, offering a crisp salute.

"Understood, Sister! We won't let you down!"

Observing the group of lively, attractive men, each with their own distinct appeal, I couldn't suppress a smile of pride.

In reality, these eight brothers were more than just good looks. Each possessed extraordinary abilities.

Some were business savvy, others artistically gifted. One was a technological whiz, while another excelled in martial arts.

I had nurtured each of them based on their individual talents, and they had all achieved remarkable success in their respective fields.

Unlike William, that good-for-nothing who only knew how to gamble with women, my perspective was much wider, my preferences far more sophisticated. These eight brothers were the fruits of my investments.

The following morning, all eight arrived punctually. I brought out the elongated luxury car from the subterranean garage, which accommodated everyone comfortably.

With eight brothers dressed in bespoke suits, I drove us to the Walter Family estate, making such a spectacular entrance that we instantly became the focus of attention.

"Who are those people? Arriving in a fancy limo like they're something special."

"Look at that! Eight gorgeous men stepping out of the car—absolutely dreamy!"

Disregarding the gawking Walter Family onlookers, I parked the vehicle and exited with my entourage.

William's mistress, Rossa, sauntered out to meet us. She wore a form-fitting mermaid dress, exuding an air of authority.

"Well, well, Ms. Dana, you've arrived! Why did you bring so many male escorts? Still living the high life, are we?"

My martial arts expert brother, Mark Ross, took offense at her comment. His expression hardened as he let out a cold laugh.

"Mind your tongue, lady. We're her brothers, not escorts."

My art connoisseur brother, James Ross, sized up Rossa, then smirked.

"Implying our sister is old and lively? I thought you were some young beauty. But you're mistaken, aren't you pushing forty?"

James Ross was known for his caustic remarks, and his comment nearly made Rossa choke.

For the record, Rossa was only twenty-four. And I wasn't that old either—just thirty.

I guided my brothers into the mansion's main hall.

Some of the older generation, like William's uncles and cousins, were familiar faces. The younger ones were mostly unknown to me.

Ignoring the crowd, I made my way directly to the matriarch of the Walter Family—my mother-in-law, Sarah Walter.

This visit had two objectives: to assess Rossa's influence and to meet with Sarah Walter.

After all, in the entire Walter Family, Sarah Walter was the only person I truly respected—a woman of unparalleled wisdom and capability.

The moment Sarah Walter spotted me, she rose and greeted me warmly.

"Dana, you've finally arrived! I've been expecting you. William mentioned you've been busy with work-related travel lately?"

From the corner of my eye, I noticed William frantically gesturing at me, and I immediately realized this was one of his invented excuses.

"Yes, Mom. It's been a year since you last came to check on things. Now that you're here for the birthday celebration, do you plan to stay for an extended period?"
