Hua Rong

Li Xue quietly walked behind Chen Yi, making sure they were far away from each other. She could sense Chen Yi's anger from miles away and could not help but shudder.

It had been a day after the incident, Li Xue had been holding their luggage for the whole journey, so she was tired. "It's about to get dark." Said Li Xue.

Chen Yi did not care to look at her and responded with a 'hm'. Li Xue kept quiet, because she knew her fault. But could you really blame her? Who was the one who hugged her all of a sudden?

Li Xue walked carefully, each step taken with cautious, neither fast nor too slow, just in sync with Chen Yi footsteps. Li Xue was beginning to feel very tired as her legs started shivering and she could barely hold on to the weight.

Chen Yi knew about this situation but did nothing to help her as he walked with stern expression.

Li Xue glanced at the nearby cave and her dim eyes shone, finally we will rest.

"Let's find a place to rest, young mas-"

Before Li Xue could speak further, Chen Yi put his hand on her mouth, the fresh scent of wood and lotus mixed together made Li Xue blush and hazy. Chen Yi motioned to stay quiet as he dragged her into a bush. 

Then he quietly let go of her, "There's someone there." Chen Yi whispered.

Li Xue's eye widened as she peeped her head out of the bush. The night was dark, a moonless night but the newly arrived guest were holding a spirit lamp. The yellow light formed their shadows, and Li Xue saw just how terrifying they looked just from their shadows, is this how her life was going to end? By getting killed by a ugly cultivator?

As the shadows got closer, Li Xue unconsciously grabbed something smooth as jade, a wood piece maybe? And started digging her nails into it bit by bit. As they got closer, the figure became clearer, and the faces become more visualized.

"Oh never mind." Li Xue whispered as if responding to her thoughts. Quietly removing her hand from the wood.

A slender woman with pink robes, walked passed them followed by a man, whose face was covered. Due to the darkness, her face was not quite visible but Li Xue could tell she was a beauty.

"Let's rest here, keep a guard if you want to." The woman spoke, her voice was very gentle like the light spring breeze flowing through the tree.

Li Xue could not let that happen, she had SUFFERED the WHOLE JOURNEY carrying the damn luggage's and needed SLEEP at somewhere NICE and COMFORTABLE!!! Li Xue huffed, rolled up her sleeves, her eyebrows turned into a frown. Grabbed a big stick and got up.

Before Chen Yi could act Li Xue quickly went out of her hiding spot, "Hey!" I will surely teach these bastards a lesson!

The guard caught sight of Li Xue holding a stick, and quickly pulled his sword from his sheath. Li Xue eyes widened, "Easy now! easy!" Li Xue hurriedly spoke.

Chen Yi also came out from the bush, and scoffed, "Brought a stick to a sword fight." He rolled his eyes.

"I just want to share the resting place!" Ignoring Chen Yi, She screamed.

"How dare you share the same resting space as her hig-"

The woman quickly motioned the guard to stop speaking and he obediently shut his mouth, the woman gave a graceful smile to Li Xue, "As it's already night, I suppose you can stay here." She spoke, "And tell your companion to stop pouting, he will get wrinkles." She laughed lightly.

Chen Yi not only scoffed at the woman's joke, but was also not grateful, as he rudely just went in the cave and set up his sheet.

"Sorry about him. My young master just seems to be in a foul mood today." Li Xue laughed nervously.

The woman gave an understanding expression, "I wonder what can make a dignified man angry." She mumbled.

"May I know your name, jiejie?" Li Xue quickly changed the topic, any further and she would die of embarrassment.

"Hua Rong."

"Your highness!"

"The PRINCESS!?"

The guard and Chen Yi spoke at the same time, while Li Xue was standing there. dumbfounded.
