The next few days dragged on, Isolde made herself scarce throughout the day, she attended her lectures and did her best to stay away from prying eyes after her encounter with Rose she didn't have much faith that anyone could say anything, leaving her grandmother susceptible. The sun had set, and the moon was high in the sky as Isolde made her way to the library. She managed to avoid Lorren and Elias, they both seemed to worry about her but made no attempts to press her for any more details.
As she approached the library, she saw a figure standing in the shadows. Isolde's heart leapt into her throat as she recognized the person - it was Elynor. She shut the door quietly behind her, not wanting to disturb him, he was nestled in the corner with a stack of books in his hands, he looked up, and his eyes were distant almost as if they were looking through Isolde.
