Chapter 33
An Unbreakable Bond
The morning air was very fresh as Lucia followed Kain through the dense forest, her boots stepping on the wet leaves.
The sun can not shine through the thick canopy, showing a scattered rays of gold across the path. They were filled with silence, about everything that was left unsaid.
She knew why he was taking her away from the pack. After what Astrid had revealed, she was more of a burden than an asset.
If she could not even control the power inside her, she would be a danger to everyone including herself.
Kain had not spoken much since they left. He walked ahead, filled with so much tension, his expression were unreadable.
"You are thinking again." Lucia breath out, breaking the silence.
Kain shot her a side glance. "I am not thinking."
"You are definitely." Lucia smirked.
He ignored her, pushing forward.
