Chapter 22

The next morning, Aarya dressed in simple brown trousers and white shirt sat down for breakfast. As he tasted the bland tomato soup, he couldn't help but think, 'What's the point in buying spices if you aren't gonna use them?'

After finishing his meal, Aarya headed to his mother's study. "Mother, you shouldn't skip breakfast. It's not good for you," he advised as he entered the room.

Inse, her hair tied in a bun and wearing a red dress with a complex pattern , was seated behind her desk. "You don't have to worry about me, my little rabbit. I had breakfast before you woke up," she reassured him with a smile.

Aarya returned the smile and took a seat in front of her. "What were you doing that you had to have breakfast so early?" he inquired.

"Seeing that we finally had some money, I had to pay off many people, so I took care of that first thing this morning. It's surprising how those small debts, which seemed so big when piled together, just vanished in one day. I feel relieved," Inse explained, her happiness evident in her smile.

Aarya couldn't help but feel happy seeing her relief and contentment.

Inse stopped smiling and sighed, saying, "But that big debt is still pending." She added, "And about that, I agree you should buy a slave."

Inse had spent much time contemplating this. If Aarya bought a sex slave , she wouldn't have to assist him in using his blessing, which was a relief. Moreover, if he used his blessing with a slave, there wasn't much risk of his abilities being discovered. Now that money was no longer a barrier to buying a slave, she reluctantly agreed to it, though it made her upset for some reason.

Hearing this, Aarya instantly felt happy. But before he could fully react, Inse hurriedly added, "But do you think you can do it?" Aarya looked at Inse questioningly.

"I mean, can you earn that much money by... um... having s... sex," Inse said, her cheeks reddening, she added, "Even if you can, it's not good for you to do it that much. So I think we should also make another deal with Mr. Belhite. We can try to sell him something else."

Aarya agreed with her, thinking, 'She's right, I can't possibly orgasm that much.' After some contemplation, he asked Inse, "Mother, how much does soap sell for?"

"It depends on the quality. Prices vary from copper coins to 1 gold coin, with scented soaps selling for gold coins. Why do you want to sell soaps to Mr. Belhite?" Inse replied.

Aarya nodded, answering, and Inse smiled, saying, "That's a great idea." She looked at Aarya eagerly, waiting for him to buy soap.

"How do you want to smell, lemony or rosy?" Aarya asked, smiling. Inse looked confused but answered, "Rosy."

Hearing this, Aarya opened the store and purchased a bar of rose-scented soap for 1 OP. A pink bar of soap appeared in front of him, devoid of packaging.

"No matter how many times I see it, it still surprises me," Inse thought, observing the bar of soap materialise out of nothing.

Aarya handed the soap to Inse, who looked both excited and confused. Bringing it close to her nose, she inhaled the scent, her eyes widening in surprise. "I can't believe this is soap; it just smells like roses. It's amazing," she exclaimed, examining the bar.

"Shouldn't you test it?" Aarya suggested. In response, Inse ordered a maid to bring water.

The maid brought a pot of water and placed it in front of Inse on her desk before departing. Inse wet her hands and used the soap, rubbing them together. She was surprised by the foam that formed in her hands. After rinsing off the soap, she smelled her hands, further amazed by the results.

Aarya watched the scene with amusement, a smile on his face.

"This soap is amazing. The ones I have used in the past smelled horrible," Inse remarked.

"So, how much can we sell it for, Mother?" Aarya inquired.

Still smelling her hands, Inse replied, "We can easily sell it for 1 or 2 gold coins."

"Then we could probably sell him 100 or so bars," Aarya suggested.

Aarya realised he had little OP left and decided to ask Inse for a gold coin. Without hesitation, Inse retrieved a gold coin from a cloth pouch and handed it to him.

Expecting to convert the gold coin into OP, Aarya's expression turned from confusion to realisation and then panic as nothing happened.

'Fuck really,' Aarya cursed inwardly.

"What's wrong?" Inse asked, noticing Aarya's troubled expression.

"I can't use this money to buy anything," Aarya explained, panic evident in his tone.

"What do you mean? Did your blessing stop working?" Inse asked, concerned creeping into her voice.

"No, Mother. It's not that. I just realised that I can only use the money earned through my blessing to obtain things from the gods," Aarya explained, frustration lingering in his words.

Hearing Aarya's explanation horrified Inse. "So, you mean to say we can't use money earned through other means?" she said, her voice filled with panic.

Aarya nodded in confirmation, adding to Inse's growing concern. The realisation that Mr. Belhite would be coming in a week which only heightened her anxiety.

'No need to panic, Inse. Calm down,' she said to herself.

"Don't worry, Aarya. We don't need to panic. We just have to fulfil our agreement with Mr. Belhite. After that, when we buy a slave, this won't be a problem," Inse reassured him.

Aarya already knew that, but it wasn't his concern. After discovering that he could buy anything from the internet, Aarya had let his imagination run wild, planning to purchase a lot of things. Now that he couldn't convert this world's money into OP, he would need to work hard.

With a sigh, Aarya let go of his frustration and said, "You're right, Mother. But that also means we have to do it again."
