Chapter 201

Mjolnir – The Hammer of Thor!

The hammer's handle originates from the branches of Yggdrasil, the World Tree. The outer layer of the hammerhead is forged from Uru, the divine metal unique to Asgard, while its core is embedded with the heart of a dying star.

This legendary weapon was personally crafted by the King of Dwarves.

After its forging, Odin bestowed it with immense divine power.

It stands as one of Asgard's mightiest artifacts.

Anyone who gains Mjolnir's recognition can wield its formidable thunderous might.

Just like Captain America during the Infinity War and Jane Foster, who later became the Mighty Thor.

Of course…

All of this is contingent upon being deemed worthy by Mjolnir.

Without its recognition, Mjolnir is nothing more than an immovable hammer—an object impossible to lift.

After all, theoretically, the decaying star core inside Mjolnir possesses gravity comparable to that of a small asteroid.

If not for the runes engraved on Mjolnir and the divine power Odin infused into it…

Forget ordinary humans— even the most powerful superheroes wouldn't be able to lift this hammer.

As for how one can prove themselves worthy…

Based on how Captain America eventually wielded Mjolnir and considering the enchantment Odin placed upon it, many speculate that lifting Mjolnir requires possessing virtues such as justice, kindness, wisdom, and courage—qualities that Captain America exemplified.

Although this sounds simple, there are only a few people in the world who can truly live up to these ideals.

After all, in a world driven by material desires, finding someone who embodies such noble qualities isn't impossible, but it's exceedingly rare.

At least, this applies to ordinary people.

Mjolnir was, after all, commissioned by Odin and personally blessed with his divine power.

Aside from possessing those virtues, anyone recognized by Odin can also wield Mjolnir's power.

Such as Thor before his banishment.

Standing at the edge of the impact crater, Joker Eren activated his clairvoyance, allowing him to clearly perceive the terrifying power emanating from Mjolnir.

What a pity…

If Joker Eren didn't feel like he completely lacked the noble qualities required, he would've been tempted to try lifting Mjolnir himself—just for fun.

As Joker Eren casually chatted with a stunning woman beside him, the crowd gathered around the crater kept changing.

One group after another stepped forward to test their strength, flexing their muscles or even attempting to drag Mjolnir with vehicles—only for the hammer to remain unmoved.

Time passed, and as the excitement among the crowd waned, a convoy of SHIELD-marked SUVs and transport trucks slowly arrived on-site.

The moment people saw the vehicles adorned with the same insignia, their movements froze.

Then, someone in the crowd shouted:

"Hey everyone! The government's here! If you still want to try lifting that hammer, now's your last chance before they shut this down!"

A wave of urgency swept through the gathered crowd.

People who hadn't yet attempted it rushed toward the hammer, eager to seize their final opportunity.

Some simply pulled out their phones to take selfies with the legendary artifact.

Meanwhile, on a nearby hill overlooking the crater…

Wearing sunglasses, Coulson and Clint Barton stepped out of a black sedan, removed their shades, and dialed a call to someone in Washington.

"Sir, we've arrived…"

Back in the crater, as SHIELD agents began dispersing the crowd, Joker Eren shook his head slightly.

[SHIELD took longer than I expected to arrive.]

When SHIELD moved in, Joker Eren blended into the dispersing crowd, leaving like any ordinary civilian.

However, no one noticed…

That as Joker Eren walked away, several small white spheres were left buried beneath the soil surrounding the impact site.

"Hey, handsome! We're heading out. Call me sometime!"

"Of course."

After exchanging a casual farewell with the flirtatious Mexican woman, Joker Eren got into the same taxi that had brought him earlier.

"Take me to Puente Antiguo."

Arriving at the small border town, Joker Eren didn't waste time wandering around. Instead, he directed the taxi driver straight to his destination.

If he remembered correctly, the banished Thor should currently be lying in the town's only hospital.

As soon as Joker Eren arrived at the hospital, he lifted his hypnotic influence on the taxi driver and even handed him a roll of cash as compensation for the trouble.

With the driver taken care of, Joker Eren stepped into the hospital.

The moment he entered, a young nurse at the front desk's eyes immediately lit up.

"Sir, is there anything I can help you with?"

"Of course."

Flashing her a charming smile, Joker Eren asked, "Did you admit an unconscious young man last night? Long blond hair, quite muscular…"

The nurse thought for a moment before nodding.

"I think I remember someone like that. Hold on a second…"

She quickly opened the hospital's registry and started flipping through the pages.

"Found it! Right here…"

Eyes lighting up, she pointed to an entry.

"Early this morning, a middle-aged man and two women brought an unconscious blond man here. Just as you described—very strong. When he woke up, he caused quite a commotion, so the doctors had to sedate him and put him in a restraint room."

She then looked up at Joker Eren.

"Do you know him? The three people who brought him in only paid the basic admission fee. Right now…"

"I suppose you could say we're acquainted."

Without hesitation, Joker Eren pulled out a few rolls of cash from his coat and placed them in front of the nurse.

"My apologies for the trouble my friend has caused your hospital. Hopefully, this will cover the damages."

The nurse's eyes practically sparkled at the sight of the crisp bills.

She quickly counted them and nodded.

"That'll do!"

After processing the payment on her computer, she handed Joker Eren a receipt.

"Sir, your total comes to three thousand dollars. This covers both the damage your friend caused and his upcoming medical expenses. Here's your receipt."

Joker Eren took the paper and nodded.

"Now, can you take me to see him?"

Now that he had paid off the damages, the nurse's attitude became even friendlier.

"Of course! Right this way."

Following her lead, Joker Eren was soon brought to the hospital's restraint room.

Before opening the door, the nurse turned to him with a warning.

"The patient suffered head trauma after getting hit by a car. When he woke up earlier, he was extremely agitated, so we had to sedate him. He should be waking up soon. When you go in, try to calm him down—I'd rather not have to call security again…"

Joker Eren gave her a reassuring nod.

"Understood. I'll take care of it."

With that, the nurse unlocked the restraint room and stepped aside.

The moment Joker Eren laid eyes on the man strapped to the hospital bed in a patient's gown, he knew he had come to the right place.

The man lying on the restraint bed was precisely the one Joker Eren had been searching for—Thor, Prince of Asgard, Son of Odin, the Thunder God himself!

After confirming with the nurse that the man in the hospital bed was indeed the one he was looking for, Joker Eren exchanged a casual farewell with her before she left the room.

Once the nurse was gone, Joker Eren closed the restraint room's door behind him.

He glanced at the hallway.

Seeing that no one was approaching, a sly grin appeared on his face. With a flick of his wrist, Joker Eren retrieved a massive syringe from his Ring of Greed—one he had prepared in advance.

Holding a syringe nearly as thick as a baby's arm, Joker Eren's smile grew more sinister as he silently approached Thor's bedside.

"Hehehe… Thor, it's time for your shot!"

As the heir to Asgard and the son of the All-Father Odin, Thor possessed one of the most powerful bloodlines in this world.

Born divine, his very blood contained power beyond imagination.

Not to mention… his natural lifespan exceeded 5,000 years—an unfathomable feat for mortals.

Five thousand years!

That's long enough to outlast all of human civilization.

Such longevity was something people could only envy and covet.

Even the Sorcerer Supreme had to steal power from the Dark Dimension to prolong her life for a few centuries—let alone ordinary humans.

Although Odin had sealed Thor's powers, his divine bloodline remained intact.

And since Joker Eren had encountered this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity…

Why not "borrow" a little?

In a world overflowing with super-science and black technology, who knew what kind of breakthroughs could be made with a couple of vials of Thunder God's blood?

Whether it was because the blood extraction process had stimulated Thor or because his body had already metabolized the sedatives, it wasn't long before Thor's eyelids began to twitch.

Watching the Asgardian stir, Joker Eren chuckled.

"Good thing I came just in time; otherwise, this syringe would've gone to waste."

After a long period of darkness, Thor slowly regained consciousness.

The moment he opened his eyes, he instinctively tried to sit up.

But before he could move, the restraints binding him to the bed held him down firmly.

"What is this…?"

Realizing that he was restrained, Thor instinctively began to struggle.

But before he could break free, a voice suddenly spoke beside him—

"You're awake?"

Thor's body tensed as he became aware of someone nearby. Before he could say anything, a figure stepped into his field of vision—standing by the window.

"Hey, buddy, don't get too worked up," Joker Eren said with a grin. "I'm here to set you free."

Without waiting for a response, Joker Eren casually waved his hand, undoing the restraint around Thor's neck.

Thor, who had been preparing for a fight, relaxed slightly upon realizing that his bonds were actually being loosened.

Once all the restraints were undone, the now slightly calmer Thor finally spoke.

"Who are you? Where am I?"

"This is a hospital—a place where injured people are treated," Joker Eren replied nonchalantly. "As for me, you can call me Joker… Prince of Asgard, son of Odin."

The moment Thor heard his origins accurately stated, his expression shifted.

His voice turned cold.

"If you know who I am, then why did you dare attack the great Son of Odin?"

"Attack?"

Joker Eren shrugged. "Don't get the wrong idea. I wasn't the one who knocked you out. In fact, I'm the one who paid for your medical bills."

As he spoke, Joker Eren waved the hospital receipt in his hand.

"Alright, this isn't exactly the best place to talk. You must be hungry, banished Thunder God Thor."

The moment the word "banished" left Joker Eren's lips, Thor's expression darkened.

Memories of yesterday's events flooded his mind.

Seeing Thor's defeated expression, Joker Eren rolled his eyes in disdain.

Really? That's all it takes to break him?

This was supposed to be the mighty Thunder God of Norse mythology?

That fragile mindset would explain why Thor would soon lose it completely after realizing he could no longer lift Mjolnir—so much so that he'd even believe Loki's lie about Odin's death.

Odin really spoiled this guy, huh?

Watching Thor's reaction, Joker Eren suddenly understood why Odin had exiled him to Earth in the first place.

Ten minutes later…

Joker Eren, now accompanied by a fully clothed Thor, arrived at a small fast-food diner on the street corner.
