Yamato

After days of travel, Quinn finally arrived in Yamato. As the ship docked, the crew members assisted him toward the grand entrance of the mysterious land. The atmosphere was different—an eerie silence blanketed the area, contrasting with the noisy voyage he had just endured.

Quinn stood at the front gate, waiting for what felt like an eternity. The large, ornate doors loomed before him, their intricate carvings depicting ancient battles and symbols he couldn't understand. He checked the time—thirty minutes had passed, yet no one had come to receive him. Just as he was about to panic, a voice called out from behind him.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Quinn. I am Jun, from the Light Clan."

Quinn turned to see a tall man clad in traditional Yamato robes, his expression calm yet serious. "Oh... hi, Jun."

Jun smiled slightly. "Before you enter, you must hand over all electronic devices. It is strictly forbidden to bring such things into Yamato."

Quinn hesitated before reaching into his backpack and handing over his phone, smartwatch, and anything else that might be considered technology. Jun carefully took them and placed them in a secured box.

"Alright, you may enter now," Jun said as he gestured toward the gate. As Quinn stepped inside, an overwhelming sensation washed over him. His vision, which had always been blurry due to a genetic condition, was suddenly crystal clear.

Quinn gasped, his heart pounding. "Wait... how am I able to see?"

Jun chuckled. "That was a curse placed upon you long ago. Here in Yamato, such things do not hold power. The moment you stepped in, the curse was lifted."

Quinn stood frozen, struggling to process what was happening. "A curse? But... how? Why?"

Jun motioned for him to follow. "Come with me. I will explain everything in detail. There is much you need to learn about your past, your family, and the true reason you were brought here."

As Quinn followed Jun through the ancient city, he couldn't shake the feeling that his journey was only just beginning.

Jun smiled as he walked alongside Quinn through the grand entrance of Yamato. The city was unlike anything Quinn had ever seen—ancient temples stood tall against the sky, glowing lanterns floated mid-air, and the streets pulsed with an energy that was both mystical and alive. Strange symbols were carved into the walls, and the air carried a scent of incense mixed with something unexplainable. It felt as if the entire place was breathing, shifting, watching.

Jun turned to Quinn, noticing his astonishment. "Yamato is full of magic, mysteries, and beauty beyond imagination," he said, his voice laced with admiration. "This place is unlike anywhere else in the world."

Quinn, still overwhelmed, ran his fingers over the nearest wall, feeling a strange warmth pulsate beneath his fingertips. "It's… unreal," he muttered. "But why am I able to see everything so clearly now? I've been nearly blind my whole life."

Jun let out a soft chuckle. "That wasn't blindness, Quinn. That was a curse."

Quinn's heart skipped a beat. He turned sharply to face Jun, his brows furrowed. "A curse? What are you talking about?"

Jun's face darkened slightly as he continued walking, leading Quinn deeper into the city. "You were cursed by Satan's servants when you were born. That's why your sight was taken from you."

Quinn felt a chill crawl down his spine. He clenched his fists, trying to process Jun's words. "Who… who cursed me?" he demanded, his voice barely above a whisper.

Jun stopped in his tracks and turned to face Quinn, his eyes holding a hint of sorrow. "Your sister."

The words hit Quinn like a thunderclap. His breath caught in his throat, and his mind reeled. "My… sister?" he repeated, his voice shaking. "That's impossible. My sister would never—she couldn't have—"

Jun remained silent for a moment before sighing. "I know this is difficult to hear, but the truth often is."

"She was just a child when she did it," Jun continued. "But she was chosen by something… something dark."

Quinn's stomach twisted. "What do you mean 'chosen'?"

Jun hesitated before answering. "I don't know all the details, but I do know this—if you want the full truth, you'll find it here in Yamato."

Quinn swallowed hard. He had come to this city searching for answers, but now it felt like he had only uncovered more questions. His sister, the curse, and now the mysterious forces behind it all—he needed to know everything.

Taking a deep breath, he nodded. "Then tell me everything you do know."

Jun gave him a small smirk. "Follow me, Quinn. This is just the beginning."
