On Christmas night, I experienced frequent contractions, signaling premature labor.
I called 99 times, but Xavion, my boyfriend of seven years, never answered.
Until the last call, when his secretary Melody picked up.
Her voice was sultry as she cuddled up to Xavion, completely disregarding that I could hear:
"Xavion, I'm carrying your baby. What are we going to do?"
Tears streaming down my face, I looked at the doctor.
"This child, I want to terminate it right now. I don't want it anymore."

On Christmas Eve, I terminated my pregnancy at seven months

He served me food while still replying to Melody's messages.


Just as he was serving, a new message suddenly popped up on his phone.


Xavion glanced at it, let out a sigh of relief, and put down his phone: "Sweetheart, I need to take a call."


I don't know what was said on the other end, but he looked at me and said, "Alright, I'll be right there."


Xavion hung up the phone and kissed my forehead: "Sweetheart, something urgent came up at work. I've already called a driver to pick you up. Head home first, and I'll cook dinner tonight."


With that, he grabbed his jacket and left.


I put down my chopsticks, looked at the food on the table, then glanced at his phone.


Curiously, I leaned over to take a peek. The message read:


"Don't worry, Xavion. I'll handle everything. It won't affect you."


Xavion had just left when I heard a familiar voice outside.


"Xavion, why are you leaving so quickly?"


I was startled and quickly went to the door to look through the peephole.


I saw Xavion opening the car door. When he saw Melody, he looked somewhat surprised."Melody, what brings you here?"


Melody cast a coy glance at him. "I was worried you hadn't eaten, so I came to bring you some food. How's that? Are you touched?"


Xavion affectionately patted her head. "I am touched. My Melody is the most thoughtful."


Melody looked at Xavion and suddenly asked, "Xavion, didn't you say you'd accompany me to my prenatal checkup today?"


Xavion glanced upstairs and said, "Be good, Melody. I'm a bit busy today. We'll go another time."


Melody pouted, "Xavion, I'm pregnant. Can't you spend some time with me?"


Xavion coaxed, "Be good, Melody. I'll finish up my work first and spend time with you tonight."


Melody suddenly looked up, her gaze landing in my direction.


She looked at me challengingly and said, "Xavion, do you think Jade will be jealous seeing us together?"


Xavion's expression became somewhat uncomfortable. "Melody, don't be silly. If Jade misunderstands, it'll be troublesome."Melody leaned in close to Xavion, whispering in his ear, "Hey Xavion, do you think Jade would mind if she knew about us being together?"


Xavion's face changed instantly as he rushed to explain, "Melody, don't say things like that. Jade and I..."


Before he could finish, Melody cut him off, "What are you so nervous about, Xavion? Got something to hide?"


Xavion glanced anxiously towards the upper floor, terrified that I might see them.


I quickly stepped back, hiding in my room.


The next second, I heard Melody's taunting voice.


"Xavion, do you think Jade would get jealous if she saw us together?"


I clenched my fists, trying hard to suppress the anger rising within me.


I hastily packed my bags, left a note, and dragged my suitcase out the door.


At the airport, I unexpectedly ran into Xavion.


Seeing me, his face changed, "Jade, what are you doing here?"


I calmly replied, "Grabbing a bite to eat."


Xavion looked at me suspiciously, "Eating? You're not planning to..."


Before he could finish, Melody suddenly appeared behind him.She held two plane tickets in her hand, looking startled when she saw me.


Xavion glanced at me nervously, afraid I might misunderstand.


I witnessed their interaction and felt nothing but disgust.


I took the tickets and said coolly, "Oh, just seeing you two off."
