Nightmares

Hailey

The dreams didn't stop.

Each night, I found myself back in the void, surrounded by the same eerie whispers and the same unfamiliar faces. They never spoke clearly, their words fading in and out like a distant echo. But I could feel their intent.

They were trying to warn me.

I just didn't know how to decipher the message.

During the day, I kept up appearances. I smiled when necessary, pretended to be fine, but beneath the surface, I was unraveling. Every shadow felt like a threat, every unfamiliar face in the mansion sent my instincts on high alert. It wasn't paranoia. It was a warning.

Someone, or something was watching me.

I hated feeling weak.
