I was still holding my breath. Watching her counter everything that Asher had said. I clenched my fist, not finding the patience to just stand there and watch her do this to me. To tell me words that didn't define me in any way. It was sickening just standing there and doing nothing as she feasted on me, like some prey that cowered in shame. Jules walked up to me eyes roaming me vertically like some dirty thong she picked up from the slums. "You know when I heard that Asher had a prisoner I didn't think he would stoop so low to indulge her but looking at you now, I see it." Huh? I didn't shift my gaze away from her, I didn't know what she meant either. She took another step closer. "I should have known you would be shameless enough to throw yourself at him. You think this means anything? You think you are special?" She scoffed, now the shame crept up my skin, I wanted to look for an alley to hide from all of these.
