The wedding venue descended into pandemonium. Everyone, including my parents and hers, was left speechless.
However, I wasn't the one taken aback by this turn of events.

But Wanda stood firm. "Mom, Dad, I'm not being impulsive."
"I simply don't want to marry Ethan."
"I've never had feelings for him."
"A loveless marriage is just two people existing side by side for decades, even a lifetime."
"There's no joy in that kind of life."
She then faced me, her voice softening as she said, "Ethan, I'm truly sorry."
