Leading the way, Susan watched Alston's figure disappear at the staircase before she allowed a satisfied smile to tug at her lips.

Alston had forbidden Susan from going upstairs, so she didn't insist and instead went to help another maid, Tammy, in the children's room.

Seeing Susan enter, Tammy frowned and asked, "Didn't you go to the third floor? Why are you here?"

With a triumphant expression, Susan said, "Tammy, let me tell you, I think Madam worrying about not being able to hold a grandson is completely unnecessary."

Turning her head cautiously to check that no one was around, she smirked and whispered to Tammy, "Their marriage may seem confrontational on the surface, but it's actually quite intense at night."
