Chapter 162 Bad luck

Alston silently told himself that he didn't feel sorry for Cecilia, nor was he worried about her!

He was just afraid that if Cecilia died, someone would blame him for her death.

He couldn't bear the burden of a life on his conscience!

And he wouldn't raise Cecilia's daughter either!

Besides, if Cecilia didn't die and just ended up with brain damage from the fever, he'd be stuck taking care of a disabled person for the rest of his life!

Exiting the small room of the rescue station, the roaring wind swept over. Alston instinctively held Cecilia closer to him and turned to shield her from the rain and wind.

After making sure Cecilia was protected, Alston felt a familiar sensation from his actions, one that he couldn't ignore.

Alston licked his lips, remembering Marian. He tightened them.

Liam heard the commotion and turned around. Seeing Alston coming out with Cecilia, his face darkened.

"You brat, what are you doing? Are you afraid she'll die too slowly? Get her inside!"
