After getting out of the car, Alston carried Gladys in one hand and headed up to the twenty-first floor, leaving Caleb staring in astonishment.
"Alston, you're not being very polite! You brought Cecilia here to get a room, and in the afternoon, you were out drinking at the bar?" Caleb's tone carried a hint of dissatisfaction.
"I postponed a project to drink with you!" Alston replied, his eyebrows twitching as he shot Caleb a glare.
"Are you dense?" Caleb was taken aback.
With only the three of them in the elevator, Caleb's voice carried, and Gladys heard his words.
"Uncle, what's getting a room? And what's 'out drinking'?" Gladys asked innocently.
Caleb choked, raising his head to meet Gladys's clear eyes.
Before he could respond, Alston frowned and reached out to pat Gladys's head. "Don't mind him, he's not a decent person!"
The elevator doors opened, and without giving Caleb a chance to speak, Alston headed straight for the suite.
