"I'll take you back."
"No need!"
"It's late, and I'm worried about you going back alone!"
"Marian, trust me, she's very generous, she won't mind such trivial matters!" Cecilia didn't respond.
Marian stood up, and Cecilia sat down on a chair beside the hospital bed. The light above cast a glow on Cecilia's face, like a sunset, stunning in its beauty.
"No need, Alston. It's not dark yet, doctors are just getting off duty, and the hospital is in the city center, very safe."
"You talk to Cecilia, I'll leave now. I'll come see you tomorrow." Marian left without waiting for Alston's response, grabbing her bag and exiting the room.
She walked quickly, the red hem of her dress swishing gracefully through the air. As she left the room, Marian spotted Monroe, tall and handsome, lost in thought with eyes lowered. Marian followed him quietly until they reached the hospital gates, where Monroe finally noticed her.
