It was mid August, so Tobias couldn’t come to possibly understand why it rained so much.

Standing outside his car with an umbrella held above his head, the businessman impatiently tapped his leg, waiting for the moment the last light in Synergy would go off and Amara would step out.

But when the light indeed went off and Amara didn’t step out with the flock of employees and executives that exited the building, a frown marred his forehead.

Wasn’t she coming down? He wondered. Or was she perhaps still busy.

The rain didn’t seem to intend on letting up anytime soon and he didn’t want to remain wet any longer, but if he had to, then he would, at least until she comes down.

“Huh, Mr. Larsen?” The receptionist who was the last fo exit the building, caught sight of him and approached, wanting to know why he was here.
