Jake drove over to terminal 6, as planned with Amara, only to realize that no one was waiting there for him.
Not the Melanie he knew nothing about, nor Amara.
“What the hell? Where are they?” He muttered, turning the engine off for a short while to fetch his phone and call his employer.
The phone rang, but on his first try, it went unanswered, his call going to voice note that very second.
“The person you’re trying to reach is currently unavailable, please leave a message after the tone, thank you.”
Beep-
Jake ended the call, having no intention of leaving a voice note for the woman he needed to find, urgently, as it now seemed.
Stepping out of the car, he scanned the crowd, hoping to catch sight of her or her friend, but it was impossible with the amount of people around and slowly, Jake began to hate how this situation was playing out.
