She was angry and hurt at the same time and both of those emotions mixed together made things seem far worse than they actually were.

Amara had to admit, it was a mistake to confront Elijah, a huge one.

Perhaps if she had simply ignored Tobias’s text and hadn’t gone looking into the matter, she wouldn’t have discovered the truth and everything would have continued on like usual, with her happily going along her way.
