Chapter 48 The King Knows All

“Ah, the smell of blood and fear.” I smirked, a mischievous edge in my voice. “Now that gets my attention.”

All five men got down on one knee as a sign of respect. “My King.” They greeted in unison and got back up.

Electronic music blasted from the stadium, spotlights of neon lights sprouting from inside in a exhilarating dance. Arching a playful brow, “What’s going on in there?”

They glanced at each other, a sliver of fear swirling in their gaze. They pushed the man with royal blue hair towards me. “It’s just a small event, my King. A private event for people to appreciate…..unique fights.” He responded thickly, the colour draining from his face as he stood frozen and terrified.

“Private.” I smiled devilishly, malice dripping from my voice. “And you didn’t think to invite me? I love these unique fights.”

“Um, My King. I don’t think you would want to see this. It’s boring and not at all entertaining.”
