“Ever so often I’d catch something moving at the corner of my eye, a shadowy figure. Chalking it down to pure imagination since I had been there for so long. One night, I was so sleep deprived that I thought I’ll just close my eyes for a second at the desk in reception. That way, I’ll know if anyone comes here.”
“Holy shit.” Ari muttered, rubbing her bicep rigorously.
Suddenly everyone was completely engrossed in his story, unwilling to avert their attention.
“I knew I fell asleep at reception; I specifically had my flashlight on the desk. But when I woke up, I was in room 333.”
We gasped. “Fuck.”
“That wasn’t the worst part, when I opened my eyes, another pair was staring directly at me.”
