I frowned, tilting my head and studying them, rather perplexed by the ordeal. “I don’t get it; it’s been four days and Lazarus let Thalion stay here. He doesn’t even like him.”
Karina hummed, “King Lazarus even asked that I take good care of Prince Thalion.”
I jerked my head towards her, wide-eyed and flabbergasted. “Lazarus must be sick.”
A crunching sound warped around us, distorting the silence we were using to conceal our appearances. We turn our heads, discovering Lila munching on a bag of chips, “Why is that a bad thing?” She asked.
“Shh.” Karina and I say in unison, “Can’t you see we are trying to hide.”
Lila’s eyes widened, “Oh.” she crouches down next to us, and we collectively watch the scene unfold. “Why are we watching them eat?”
“Because Lazarus prefers to eat breakfast alone.” I replied.
“Not entirely, he likes eating with Bellatrix.” Karina remarked in a whisper.
