The Rivalry Begins

As they glided across the dance floor, Elias found himself lost in her presence. She was bold, unafraid to challenge him with her wit and charm. For the first time in centuries, Elias felt hope—a hope that perhaps his eternal existence could hold more than darkness.

From the moment Lucian laid eyes on Eva, a spark of envy ignited within him. His younger brother, Elias, had always been the golden child—the one who excelled, the one their father favored. And now, it seemed, even this captivating mortal was drawn to him.

Lucian's gaze darkened as he observed the way Eva's eyes lit up when Elias approached her. Her laughter grew brighter, her smile wider, and it was clear to anyone watching that she was enchanted by him.

Determined not to be outdone, Lucian made his move. As the night wore on, he cornered Eva in a secluded part of the garden. His charm was intoxicating, his words a delicate web meant to ensnare her. "You have no idea how extraordinary you are, do you?" he murmured, his voice a velvet caress.

Eva laughed nervously, stepping back. "Actually I do but you sure are quite the charmer, aren't you?"

Lucian's eyes gleamed with predatory intent. "I mean every word." He leaned closer, his hand brushing against hers. "I could give you so much more than my brother Elias ever could."

Before Eva could respond, a cold wind swept through the garden. Lucian turned to find Elias standing there, his eyes blazing with fury. "Step away from her, Lucian," Elias commanded, his voice low and dangerous.

Lucian smirked, but the jealousy burning within him was palpable. "She deserves someone who can show her the world, Elias. Someone who isn't shackled by self-imposed rules."

"And that someone i think you're assuming is you.She deserves to make her own choices," Elias retorted, stepping between Eva and his brother.

In a flash, Lucian's true intentions were revealed. He reached for Eva, his fangs elongating as he prepared to turn her into his own. But before he could, Elias struck, shoving him back with a force that shook the ground.

Lucian's jealousy surged further when he noticed the way Eva's eyes glimmered as Elias stood protectively in front of her. He clenched his fists, his thoughts racing with envy and malice. How could Elias, his inferior in his mind, command such devotion from someone so remarkable?

Elias, sensing the danger, kept his gaze locked on Lucian. " I wont let you won't harm her, Lucian. Not now, not ever."

Eva clung to Elias's arm, her heart racing. Lucian's predatory gaze sent chills down her spine, but it was Elias's unwavering stance that brought her comfort. She had never felt so safe yet so terrified at the same time.

Lucian sneered, a cruel smile playing on his lips. "You always were the sentimental one, Elias. That will be your downfall."
