Present Time,
Rena had seen Lord Kamaz, followed him, and was pleased to see him after Zeda. Kamaz picked Zeda without a word and began to leap away from the General Temple.
“What are you doing? Let me down.
I’m grateful for the save but I need to go back. I’m not leaving, no, not this time’’
Kamaz continued to ignore her and increased his breezing-through pace, Rena behind them. Zeda tried to push him off her like she wouldn’t drop to the hard ground if he were to let her go.
She became frantic when she could no longer see the trees that covered the trail to the lair.
‘‘No! No! Take me back, please; I cannot leave those people again. Kamaz you have to listen to me. Stop now! This isn’t right. You promised to always listen to me. Why are you doing this?
Please stop’’ She shouted and cried but he didn’t listen to her and it was harder for her to speak due to the pace he was moving with.
It was like he had shut his ears to her complaints and her frustrations this time.
