QUINZI TOMAN

Present Time,

The sound of a trumpet rends Falkur and Rena slightly apart from each other. The both of them were breathing hard, eyes on each other like they wanted to take the other right there at that moment – against the very floor they were standing or on the counter Falkur had Rena pressed against.

Zeda and Kamaz’s wedding ceremony was about to commence and they had to put one another in looks that accorded the ceremony.

“What was that for?” Rena asked in an almost breathless tone, referring to the kiss.

“A testament that you are not alone anymore, a testament that your heart isn't the only heart that beats for your existence-”

Falkur placed her hand on his chest, right where the luo-dup rhythm of his heart was hitting hard.

‘He just said his heart beats for me,’ Rena said, joy, comfort, and utter bliss spiraling in her at the sheer thought. Her lips partly fell open.
