Present Time,
Zeda’s POV
I could make out my figure at the bottom of the Sacred Pool, but I had no reflection on the surface of the water.
I was still in the same clothes as the girl inside the Pool, except there was a small difference.
While hers had bloodstains at different corners of the gown, mine was just like the time I had thrown it over my body a few hours back – spotless.
I looked around the General Temple, no one was guarding it, and even the Second and Sixth Leaders were nowhere to be found.
Quickly I hopped down the stairs and headed for the double doors.
I stretched my hand to pull the handles back but I grasped onto nothingness. I tried again.
But I just couldn’t.
The doors and the windows were severely shut because the leaders did not want the General Temple to be affected by the chaos I could hear, which was wise of them. But I need to join them outside.
