The Forest Lady's Reflections

In the past, when riding Kitty, his winged tiger, Oliver had never dared to fly over the Misty Forest. The forest was far too dangerous, teeming with powerful magical creatures and plants, and flying through it was simply too conspicuous. He would usually fly around the outer edges of the mist, or allow Kitty to glide just above the treetops.

But now, Oliver could hardly suppress his excitement as he urged Stonewing into the air, flying high above the foggy canopy. The difference was palpable. Stonewing, being a dragon, exuded an aura that most magical creatures would not dare challenge. As soon as Oliver mounted it, he could feel the speed—Stonewing was at least fifty percent faster than Kitty!
