Dreams and desires

Sebastian stared at Macro, his voice thick with disbelief.

“What? Are you insane? You want someone to pretend to be my girlfriend? That’s the stupidest idea I’ve ever heard. You know what happened the last time. She bolted. I’m not doing this again.”

Leaning casually against the wall, Macro held Sebastian’s gaze, his expression calm but firm.

“That was then. This is now. If you want to get your father out of the way, this is the only option that makes sense. You know it.”

Sebastian dragged a hand through his already-messy hair, frustration radiating off him. “Fine. Who do you have in mind?”

A sly grin tugged at the corners of Macro’s lips. “Sophia.”

Sebastian froze, his eyes widening. “Sophia? You’re telling me you want me to ask the girl who’s been haunting my dreams for the past four years to pose as my girlfriend? That’s a joke, right?”
