A seductive bargain

Sophia reluctantly said goodbye to Drake and her beloved grandmother, the weight of her emotions hanging heavy in the air. She hailed a taxi and settled into the back seat, her mind still swirling with the intensity of the farewell.

As she navigated the familiar streets on her way home, her phone buzzed with an incoming call. Sophia glanced at the screen and saw that it was Miss Cindy.

"Yes, Miss Cindy?" Sophia answered, her voice tinged with curiosity.

"Sophia, can you quickly come to the cafe?" Miss Cindy's voice sounded laden with sadness.

Sophia's heart sank. "Is everything okay?"

"Something urgent came up," Miss Cindy replied, her voice quivering.

"I'll be right there. Jameson Cafe, please," Sophia informed the cab driver as she hung up the call.

Time felt like it was dragging as Sophia's cab approached the cafe. When she arrived, her heart sank further as she found Miss Cindy and Bella seated at one of the tables, their faces etched with distress.
