"I don't remember us talking about kissing. It wasn't part of the deal."
Sophia's voice echoed in the grand hallway as the heavy oak door slammed shut behind her. She spun on her heel, glaring at Sebastian, who leaned casually against the wall, his smirk firmly in place as if her anger was nothing more than a passing breeze.
"You should've read the contract before signing it,"
Sebastian replied nonchalantly, pushing off the wall and shrugging his jacket off. His movements were deliberate, unhurried, as though her fury amused him.
"You can't just scribble your name on something without knowing what you're agreeing to. That's basic business, sweetheart."
Sophia's fists clenched. "Don't you 'sweetheart' me. You tricked me!"
"I didn't trick you." He tilted his head, his expression a mixture of mockery and something darker.
