Long time,no see Mr Knight

Sophia awoke to an empty bed, the warmth on his side already long gone. She wasn’t surprised; Sebastian was an early bird. She stretched lazily, the soft sheets tangling around her legs as her mind wandered. Memories of the night before fluttered through her thoughts, drawing a slow smile to her lips.

“Mmmmh,” she murmured, rolling over and burying her face in his pillow. His scent lingered, musky and distinct, a comforting reminder of his presence. She inhaled deeply, as though it could somehow bring him closer. The weight of his touch still ghosted over her skin, and it left her with a warmth that she didn’t want to shake.

Her gaze caught on the dress draped carefully over the chair beside the bed. It wasn’t hers. Curiosity pulled her out of bed, and she found a note resting neatly beside the dress. Unfolding it, she read the familiar scrawl:

“Dinner tonight?”

At the bottom of the note was a playful smiley face and a tiny, teasing addition—a cat emoji.
