Upon their return to Avalorne, Vergil and Freya wasted no time. Despite the long journey, there was still one matter they needed to address before they could fully settle in.
"We should request an audience with Empress Elisa," Vergil said, his voice carrying the weight of duty. "It would be discourteous to return without reporting everything."
Aeka, who had been waiting for them at the mansion, nodded in understanding. "I'll make the arrangements. In the meantime, your daughters should rest." She glanced at Mina, Aria, Lira, Sylvy, and Anna, who were visibly fatigued from their travels. "I'll also coordinate with the other Assassins while you're gone."
Vergil arched an eyebrow. "The Brotherhood has grown, hasn't it?"
Elen, standing nearby, smirked. "Quite a bit, actually. Since you left on official duty, our numbers have increased significantly. More assassins are eager to join the cause."
Vergil absorbed this information, then gave a small nod. "I'll meet with them soon."
